Listening to: my box fan (it's really relaxing)
Well, well, well, Mr. Steve Wieland has decided to start posting again. I was unaware of this till a little birdie name MEgan told me, and as all of you know I have to go after the blog and tell you what I think. Remember, if you don't like what I have to say; you don't have to read it.
Steve you should feel honored. Not many people get a special post all about their blog.
After reading his blog, I have come to a few conclusions. First, this is not a personal insight in to Steve's mind. It’s far from it. It is a way for Steve to release his inner emotions that he doesn't want the rest of the world to see. Steve isn't lonely, and he doesn't need God and "the Big JC" as much as he says he does. He just has to realize his niche in society. Unfortunately, it isn't a big one at the moment, but if he keeps up the hard work at the hotel, which I'm sure he will, he will find that he is a valuable asset for them to have.
Steve, take a step back and look at your life. Where are you at the moment?
You have a good job that gives you plenty of money. You feel comfortable enough to move out into your own place (it's still yours even if you share it). You have a car. You can share what you think even if someone really wants to kick your ass if you share it.
What you are describing in your blog is jealousy of what other people have. You want a special someone to be with. You want to be loved. These are not things that are sins. These are basic needs in life, like food, shelter, and water. Life works itself out as long as you try to make it work. You need to just keep on doing what your doing and maybe some rich honey will fall in love with that bell hop (or whatever you are) and want to be with you forever.
Quit your bitching. Be confident. When you stop looking for someone, and totally give up on love. Because, that is when love will come, and smack you in the face. It will change you forever too.
When I think back 2 years and realize how much I've changed and why I've changed; I feel happy about it. I have a few regrets, but not enough to make me want to do it all over again. If I could, well, I wouldn't.
Don't leave it up to God. That is a mistake. You have to leave it up to yourself to accomplish anything. Did God make you work hard at your job? No. Does God make you do everything? No. He makes you choose. If you choose to be depressed then you will be depressed. If you want to say fuck it to something; then you are gonna do it. Don't count on God. Count on Steve. God is not in control. You are.
You need to loosen up, and have some more experiences. How else are you going to know if something isn't what you want to do? You have to try it to experience it. Grow some balls.
If you don't like what I've said, fuck off, but do me one favor. Think about why you didn't like it, and ask yourself a few questions. Is it because Pat said it? Is it not what I wanted to hear? Either way, no matter what you think it's not God thinking, it's you. It's what you choose to think.
Peace.
